The Triple S method: Set up, sample, ship

Three easy steps to get screened for colon cancer.

Set up your kit

Unpack your box, check the expiration date, and follow the instructions inside.

Scrape a sample

Collect and scrape your stool sample, then fill its container with the preservative. Seal tightly and pack your box for shipment.

Don’t worry, you’ve got this

It’s perfectly normal to feel nervous about collecting a sample at home, but it’s much easier than you might think. Your kit is designed to make the process as simple (and hygienic!) as possible.

Prepare your bathroom

Set up your kit’s components and read the included instructions beforehand.

Take your time

Choose a convenient day and time to screen. Remember, you only need to complete the steps once.

Understanding your test results

Your sample is sent to our labs for analysis, and you’ll be informed of your test result within 8 to 10 days. This will also be shared with your doctor or care provider.

Please keep in mind that Cologuard Plus is a screening test, and not a diagnostic one. A positive result does not mean that you have colon cancer, and requires a follow-up colonoscopy.
