Cologuard performance is based on a large clinical study of more than 10,000 patients ages 50-84, Cologuard found more cancers and precancers than an ordinary blood stool test (e.g. FIT†). False positive results can occur and should be discussed with your doctor and followed by a colonoscopy.1,2

How will I know if my stool sample is ‘normal’?
It’s important to get a sample that is typical for you in terms of consistency (loose stools are okay if that’s normal for you). However, if you are sick and have diarrhea, you should wait until you feel better to collect a sample. If you have specific questions, call Customer Care at 1-844-870-8870. For instructions on how to provide your sample, watch the How to Use video and read more here.
